This tenth edition of CNM's annual sector conference drew participants from across Southern California and featured more than 15 panels and breakout sessions across two content-packed days. Advancing equity, new ways of collaborating with philanthropy, and wisdom and lessons from a tumultuous year were all among topics addressed by panelists and presenters.

One year after the onset of the deadly virus, and the economic devastation that forced many nonprofit organizations to quickly change course in response, it seems that overall our sector may have weathered the crisis better than some might have been expected. Thanks to PPP loans, and millions in private and philanthropic support that was focused on meeting urgent needs, many concerns about what comes next remain in Through this funding, we are hopeful that a more transparent, user friendly contracting system and a reimbursement rate that covers actual costs allows services funded through those public dollars to reach those who need them.

One way to fight the pandemic is with accurate information. Community based organizations play a unique role in spreading information that is reliable.

This year we have been right there with you as an unexpected and deadly virus changed everything in a matter of weeks.
