Melissa and I had been wondering when this reckoning would come for the hospitality industry. As women who had worked for over a decade in New York bars, restaurants, and clubs—at over twenty different establishments, between us—we knew that these abuses were rampant, systemic, and perpetrated by owners, managers, colleagues, and customers alike.
