Then this December, suddenly their website has issues. Can't log in or make payments. And somehow my routing is wrong.. Their supposed Guest Relations sends me an official looking letter about my 'troubled account' - and when I call, it's just another outsourced hold line, that call back.

Such a bunch of rubbish. I had full trust in my Red Card I got a Target redcard credit card, 3 months in, making my payments and all of a sudden I'm seeing my payments taking weeks to post. Electronic payments mind you, in this day and age. When I call Target Redcard, they are telling me that they need to dial my bank on a 3 way call and have me enter my bank credentials to verify those payments I work in a bank, this is how people are scammed.

I hung up and called them back, talked to a different associate and they told me the same thing. Unless Target is so cheap that they are still using computers from s to process "electronic payments", I don't see how it is possible to process a payment for 2 weeks.

It deducted from my bank acct same day, but somehow does not reflect on Targe Redcard for 2 weeks and the support line is useless!!! Get buying tips about Credit Cards delivered to your inbox. Used several Target gift cards towards purchase of a phone. Target failed to send a email that the account was overdue yet searching my email account I found dozens of unread emails concerning their latest sales. Target failed to send a monthly invoice.

Target failed to contact me at home via phone. As a result my near excellent rating has dropped 99 points to just good. I have never had a late payment in the multiple decades I've owned credit cards.

Say goodbye to any further business over the coming decades Target. I was a credit card holder for over 6 years, had a very high limit, never late, paid in full. No changes on credit, no answers. Very RUDE customer service.. The impact this put on my credit score was devastating. I would truly like some answers. I Ended up closing the account.

I went to use my card today and it declined. They said they lowered my limit due to inactivity. They lowered my limit right before the holidays without telling me. I contacted customer service and they were rude and unhelpful! I have had a card with them for over 8 years. I called customer service to ask and was hung up on twice. This was a scam. Warning to all: take your autopay off and watch for hidden fees. The payments was credited to my account and then subsequently removed on August 1, Upon inquiry to target red card the check was confirmed cashed by target on August 10, I have been in contact with target red card services and told I need to wait while they research the payment.

I have provided a copy of the cashed check, receipt of in store payment, and related transactions on my target red card. It is now October 1st, and nothing as of yet. When you call they ask for last numbers of SSI and when you call the first people answering is overseas people.

They can not be trusted with your bank info. They double charge. Also, mailing payment is always delayed. I have been a Redcard holder for several years, no prior or previous incidents or issues, all payments have been made on time, as my credit history shows. Feb , my online payment was returned due to non-sufficient funds, as I was unable to deposit money into our account due to closures and shutdown due to severe ice and snow, we were unable to leave our home.

I was highly uncomfortable, but because they said it was they ONLY way they would credit back my acct and take the hold off I reluctantly gave them my bank's phone number But it had to be verified Target rep said, so I gave my SS to verify my acct so they could talk with my bank. I requested for him to indicate in the notes that he verified payment confirmation with my bank so that I would have to go through everything again, he claimed that he did note that information and transferred me back to customer service.

Customer service transferred me to a supervisor who informed me that the Dispute Dept did NOT note that my bank confirmed the payment and that SHE would have to contact my bank if I wanted the hold take off!!! I was told to complain in writing, yet if I wanted the current hold removed she needed to speak to my bank herself, even after she verified that he spoke to my bank!!! NO hold should have been placed on my acct punished because it was clearly not my fault to begin with! This has got to STOP!!!

How many customers have they done this to?? How many customer's identity has been compromised due to Target "policy" to require actually speaking on the phone with the customer's personal bank?!
