Career Prep & Placement Services

An Official Website of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation program provides a wide array of services to individuals with disabilities as they prepare for gainful employment. The agency currently has over 20 Job Placement Specialists who offer Job Placement services to consumers. Job Placement Specialists provide employability skills training for consumers based on individual needs. Job Placement Specialists work one-on-one with consumers to develop professional resumes, provide mock interviews, and answer questions regarding job search.

Legal Placement Services

At Goodwill, it is our job to help individuals overcome barriers to getting and keeping good jobs. Our employment skills programming boils down to two key areas: Pre-employment Training and Job Placement Services. Testing to help individuals decide which type of job is best for them based on skills and interests. Testing for vision-impaired individuals is also available. Utilizes current labor market information, interviewing, job shadowing, and site visits to identify realistic opportunities that match personal interests. Provides assessment and on-site feedback regarding work skills aimed at identifying vocational goals to improve chances of securing and maintaining community employment.
