Under the direction of the RN Manager ASC KC, performs a variety of tasks related to cleaning, sterilizing and assembling and wrapping surgical instruments; Restocks supplies and instrumentation; and completes other duties to facilitate the patient care team.

Operate and maintains the sterilizing equipment in the Instrument and Decontamination room assuring proper functioning and sterilizing temperatures, pressures and time cycles.

Adhere to department safety policies and procedures in operating equipment and handling contaminated materials; follows Universal Precautions. Wears impervious gown, face mask, gloves, and goggles in the decontamination room.
