Two federal class-action lawsuits have been filed on behalf of hundreds of ADT customers who recently learned their accounts with the home security company were compromised by a former employee. The lawsuits, filed Monday, come weeks after ADT alerted more than of its customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that the former employee had unauthorized access to their security systems over the last several years, including the video streams of in-home cameras. The lawsuits allege ADT showed negligence and breached contracts by failing to provide security, among other concerns.

You get paid either base pay or commission, which ever is greater. I came into this job with a lot of sales experience, so it came pretty easy to me, I was able to do well just making commission. In the beginning, the job was easy taking about 12 calls a day converting about 4 into sales, but after a few months, I started getting back to back calls.

You have to follow a script and each call takes minutes depending. Quality Assurance listens to your calls and they are graded. There were about 30 new hires in my training class, when I left there were only 3 from that class remaining.

They just simply don't care. I sent in my resignation because I felt like i was hurting the customer more than helping them. When customers try and cancel they get hung up on, they don't tell you the reason why they hang up on you is because they will loose points if they have to cancel you before the 30 day trial period. Lack of management and you are just a number. We had no support and the trainer was clueless. The pay was definitely not what I was told. The training was a disaster therefore once it was time to take calls, we all had so many questions.

They know the biggest problem facing us is cost compared to local comp or even ADT third party dealers yet they choose to not to offer anything to match what our comp does. We can not discount the monthly service cost locally but the call center can sell a system with a large discount. Offices across the country can add discounts. Most of the time I always had 2 massive installs plus 2 or 3 service calls. Training is very minimal and not enough time to learn how to install, program, up sell, troubleshoot ect.

Once I finished my training within my second week of being on my own I was made to train another new hire which made no sense..
