ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CIVIL QA QC ENGINEER AT SITE
By using this website you agree to the use of cookies. You are here:. Scope of Responsibilities Take leadership in managing quality management system. Convene pre-inspection meetings and approve inspection and test plan and procedures. Ensure proper planning for inspection activities.
Ensure availability of all necessary documents at inspection release and implement suitable corrective actions. Maintain cordial relationship with Client Representative and ensure that client quality requirements are understood, agreed and fulfilled. Ensure project KPI's are defined, measured, monitored and actions implemented for any identified gap. Monitor and analyze Customer Satisfaction. Conduct management review of the quality management system and monitor implementation of management review actions.
Control and the distribution of all the companies quality documentation. Monitor all quality related activities on the project. Ensure all internal and external audits are carried out as planned. Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.
Attend all pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the project bidders. Attend client quality management meetings.
Ensure the project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement are prepared. Ensure the disposition of all issued non-conformance reports. Ensure the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required.
Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customers representatives. Compile monthly reports and submit to Quality Director. Monitor statistical method reporting, monthly KPIs. Ensure all customer complaints closed appropriately. Control all archived documentation upon the completion of the project.
Align the quality resources with business needs and assure effective coverage of the project. Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements Site Implement the Closed loop site Quality Management System at site. Ensure site quality induction and orientation. Review and ensure all aspects of the quality system related to the site are audited at least once. In case of serious deficiency during the execution of a contract notify the project manager and initiate an unscheduled audit.
Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors to conduct all non-destructive testing on site. Ensure proper planning and notification for inspection visits of QC team planned and unplanned. Ensure availability of all necessary documents at inspection release.
Perform surveillance activities and monitor construction process. Maintain cordial relationship with Client Site Representatives and ensure that client quality requirements are understood, agreed and fulfilled. Manage and monitor Sub-contractor Site Representatives to ensure that Sub-contractor quality team work efficiently and effectively at site. Monitor Subcontractor quality performance and report. Schedule meetings to resolve specific interface issues.
Coordinate with the customers representative on all quality matters. Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards. Participate in the site internal and external site audits. Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over through the QC turnover engineer. Implement Lessons Learned where relevant at site. Align quality resources with business needs and assure effective coverage of the project load Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status.
Assess quality tools and techniques available in the market including systems and procedures of Clients and competitors for their suitability for adoption as best practices. Provide quality assurance support to the project during execution. Mentor and develop QA team to the highest professional and performance standards through appropriate training and certification. Support the engineering disciplines in maintaining discipline documents and carry out QA review of QMS documents.
Enhance engineering quality system implementation through training. Conduct Technical Services functional induction to the new recruits. Take active interest in ensuring commonality and consistency of the quality management system applied in ECS offices.
Establish effective interface with the ECS Offices. Take proactive role in understanding the engineering quality issues and suggest solutions. Improving engineering documentation and controls to achieve industry best practice, reflecting our Quality and Integrity policy and objective.
Providing timely and suitable solutions to quality issues in engineering. Promote the uploading of engineering related Lessons Learned in LL Database and ensure all the lessons are moderated, actions identified and taken. Maintenance of Codes and standards online and Technical Library. A minimum of 5 years in a senior quality management role years of experience in a relevant environment, with a minimum of 10 years in oil and gas.
