The funds for that comes from the recycling of bottles. Productive and easy going. There is always work to do. Process returns, Sorting the hard side and soft side carts. I once worked a 3 hour shift The management is very friendly, open and welcoming but also very serious when need be. This job is perfect for a student but you need to let them know and be firm about what your availability is.

The job itself is really good, It would be amazing if we could choose our shifts or at least be able to work extra hours. Excellent Customers Service at the expense of the employees. Very, very, hard work for minimum wages. You go up and down ladders bringing products down for customers. Increases of hourly wages of cents occurs once a year, no matter how hard you exceed expectations.

Lunch breaks come just before you leave for the day. You are starving Standing for hours, feet and back hurt Not allowed to have water bottles at your station. So thirsty. You have to clean the bathrooms, vacuum store, wash floors and gather garbage at closing each day, disgusting Christmas party at end of year. Food is provided but no bonuses or gifts. This is not a minimal effort job. Fast paced work environment. I was able to advance within the company and yet my pay did not go up with the promotion, it was a fun work environment but there seemed to be some immaturity within the staff as in people not calling in to work when they were sick so it was a hassle finding someone to cover a shift.

We were given incentives every month which was nice. Friendly workplace with easy workload. The management were all extremely friendly and understanding, along with everyone else working there. The hardest part of the job is dealing with sometimes unreasonable customers but, it is easily made up for by the friendly coworkers and considerably easily workload. Understanding management, free food sometimes , free cake on some birthdays. Terrible management, terrible hours. From the day I was hired I was lied to and lead to believe I would be full time.

The store manager looks for reasons to put you down and never recognises your accomplishments. Management will sit at their desks playing games on their phones while the few staff members working are trying to help multiple customers at once.

When minimum wage increased, all staff lost their hard earned raises and were only making 10 cents more than newly hired employees. Shifts are either too long or too short and very inconsistent, favouritism is a problem, no benefits, full time, or chance for advancement. All in all, not the worst place to work, but not the best either.

Some managers can be annoying to deal with, no chance of full time work. Will never have a boring day at Bed Bath and Beyond. Working at Bed Bath and Beyond has allowed me to move forward in the retail industry. I was given an opportunity to take charge of an umfamiliar role. Being a lead at Bed Bath and Beyond is rewarding and challenging. Like any store, leads, managers, and supervisors alike have different ways of doing their jobs.

That allowed me to push myself to become a better person and leader. Anyone who works for Bed Bath and Beyond have equal opportunities to use their skills and gain new ones in a diverse environment.

Good people, Bad leadership. If you are looking for a place to work where you can do almost nothing all day and never get fired, this is the place for you. You need to actively try to get fired here, and even then, you may not be let go.

They promise befits, and flexible hours, but its a lie. One key holder would only work Mon-Fri and refused to work any other time. At a retail place. Only recently did they put their foot down.

And you are eligible for benefits, if you are full time. Good luck getting full time. Only management and some "replan" the people that take care of stock are actually full time.

They also told us that if you are responsible for stopping a theft, we are eligible for a reward. I got nothing. And only because she asked.

I absolutely love the people I work with Most of them at least and I like my mangers. All these problems come from poor Regional and Corporate policies. And I know its easy to brush off a poor review, but I am a person that has worked there for many years, much like a lot of my co workers. Its not because they have great hiring structure, but because no one, no matter how incompetent, gets fired. Little chance of getting full time, 0 reward for stopping theft, higher management is spineless.

Fun and hard working day at work. Front End Lead. Hardest part of the job is setting up. Learned about how to talk to a customers and how to believe in yourself. The most enjoyable part of the job is how everyone does there part to make sure non of the managers have to worry about each employees. Each day is different yet the same. Greeting customers, and engaging in conversation while ringing them through the check out. Making sure their needs are met while answering the phone and sometimes solving other problems that might arise.

My co workers are incredible. Always dedicated to the customer and putting people first. They always go above and beyond to make our clients happy. The hardest part of the job are the hours.

I worked here for a little over a year. The people were nice and fun to work with, but after a while you start to realize that the managers cares about themselves only. They wont treat you fairly. The hours they give you are good at first, but then they suck after a while. There were good days and bad days.
